Interesting Stories on: Butterflies, Kissing Bugs, Rain Beetles, Oak Moths, Ants, Black Widows, Tardigrades, Inventory Lists of Invertebrates Hastings has several data sets on the insects found on the reserve. They are listed below as links. The first is a series of checklists that were compiled in the 1940's and converted to digital form in 2003. In 2003 we moved a series of 7,000 microscope slides of insects to the Essig Museum at Berkeley (Excel File). We have several lists of spiders; with lists dating back to the early 1940s. In the 1990's, Jerry Powell and others compiled the updated the 1940s lists of moths and butterflies. So, scroll through the links below.
