Hastings Robotic CameraViewer Notes: Be patient. The box to the left is loading..... your commands are going to and from a satellite and then over a radio link at Hastings....a fast connection is best. 1. You may control this camera using the arrows or side bars. Please give your browser time to load to camera controls. Only one person at a time is actually in control, and once you click on the control link, a timer will give you 5 minutes of control at a single session. If other people are using the camera, you will be assigned a que, and the software will tell you when it is your turn. You can "refresh" your connection to watch as others use the camera. You can view the page for 5 minutes before it drops the connection. 2. The camera is located on the top of the hill above the offices, at our CDF Remote Access Weather Station. The camera is approximately 10 feet above the ground. You have the capacity to view the area surrounding the tower up to 200 degrees horizontally (full left is 180 degree south, and full right is 20 degree due north). The camera will also tilt downward from the horizontal plane 50 degrees. A motorized zoom lens gives you a 30x increase in focal length in 9 programmed steps, or more using the zoom buttons. We are using a Canon VB-C10R network camera as our robotic camera.
