In 2009, an Oregon Scientific WMR200 weather station started recording data at the Hallisey House, on Finch Creek, opposite Corral Field. The microclimate along this lowest stretch of Hastings on the south side of Haystack Hill, is both cooler in winter nights and summer nights, and warmer in summer days than the long-established weather stations near the headquarters.
