Finch Creek Stream Gauge
Support from the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District
has allowed us to install a stream gauge on Finch Creek. Thank you
Greg James! This is below the confluence of Finch, Big Creek (= Madrone
Creek) and Robertson creeks. About 22 sq miles are gauged here (see
map of Finch Creek watershed). Thanks, Doug Smith, Watershed
Lab, CSUMB! Each hour a number is generated by the pressure transducer
and shown in the graphs, and in the data table. Eventually, with
some additional measurements, Greg James of MPWMD will be able to
use this number to generate a flow in cubic feet per second. However,
that takes some time, many flow measurements, etc. So for now, this
gives a relative idea of the flow. Small daily changes of values
about 0.646 indicate the stream is dry.
To download the data
in ".dat" format click

here to download in comma separated text. The data columns are
CS table number (ignore), year, day of year, 24 hour time (Hr/Min)
then the data value. |
