Red House
The Red House was built by the Hastings family in 1930 to house the teachers at the Carmel Valley Ranch School, in the School House, just below the Red House. A steep road up the Red House was replaced in 2001 with a chip-sealed access road along the side of the hill. The house remains true to the 1930's with wood heat and a magnificent (original) lion-claw bathtub, etc.
