This
checklist is based on: Davis, J., W. D. Koenig, and P. Williams.
1980. Birds of Hastings Reservation, Monterey County, California.
Western Birds 11:113-128. Since
then the checklist has been periodically updated online. All historical
records and new field notes (1980-2006) were included in the
2006 update. Hastings does not conduct systematic censusing
for birds. The majority of birds are seen while working in the
field on ongoing research which does not include bird survey or
census activities. |
